Regional Initiative Grants
Driving innovation and community engagement.
Regional Initiative Grants support community arts projects that provide broader access to the creative experience, especially through experimental ways. Funded by the Connecticut Office of the Arts and managed by the Arts Council, Regional Initiative Grants (REGI) are intended to assist Connecticut artists, arts organizations, schools, and art programs with funding for creative, innovative projects that engage the community across our 34-town service area. REGI strives to broaden equal access to arts and culture in the community and deepen participation in the arts through experimental projects.
About Regional Initiative Grants:
- Grant requests must range between $1,000 and $4,000.
- Projects must be collaborative and require at least one community partner and one Connecticut artist. Applications must adhere to the full guidelines.
- Applications undergo a rigorous panel review process comprised of independent reviewers with strong community arts project experience.
- Grants will be awarded in fall 2016 for projects taking place between October 1, 2016 and September 30, 2017.
