VIP Premier Chef: Nixs executive Chef Phil Parise a native of Connecticut and grandson to restaurateur Angelo Canevari, has been involved in the restaurant business since the early age of 14. Growing up in a restaurant family with restaurants in Fairfield county and NY city he learned the trade very quickly. Receiving formal training under chef Daniel Varano and Robert Willis he moved up the ranks of the culinary pipeline and played a role in the West Hartford restaurant scene before making the jump to Hartford.
