The Greater Hartford Arts Council (GHAC) is a 39-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to funding and promoting the arts throughout the Greater Hartford region.  As the 9th largest United Arts fund in the nation we are supported by thousands of local individuals, corporations, foundations, and government. Funds raised by the GHAC’s United Arts Campaign provide grants and services to more than 150 area organizations each year.  These grants are determined through a rigorous application and review process and represent the largest source of unrestricted, stable funding for major arts institutions and seed funding for smaller organizations and community-based projects. The GHAC also provides umbrella marketing for more than 2,000 arts and cultural events each year.

The Arts Council has completed the first phase of the Strategic Plan and is currently working on a timeline to implement its goals. For more information about the current strategic plan and the Arts Council's re-worked mission statement, download this
