 Kicking off Playhouse on Park’s 15th Anniversary Season is THE COMPLETE WORKS OF JANE AUSTEN (ABRIDGED), running September 27 - October 22. 

FEATURED PLAY: The Complete Works of Jane Austen (Abridged) by Jessica Bedford, Kathryn MacMillan, Charlotte Northeast, and Meghan Winch 

The Complete Works of Jane Austen (Abridged) Description: Three actors, one newbie, and two self-professed Janeites, tackle the entire canon of Jane Austen’s works – in just 80 minutes. A fun, funny, and fast-paced romp that will delight fans of Austen and newcomers alike. Fall in love with Emma, Elinor, Mr. Darcy, and more. It is a truth universally acknowledged that an audience in possession of high spirits must be in want of a ticket to this big-hearted comedy.

  Two seatings: 4:15pm - 5:45pm and 5:30pm - 7pm

  In conjunction with the New England Premiere of THE COMPLETE WORKS OF JANE AUSTEN (ABRIDGED), Playhouse on Park is hosting a Boozy Tea! Jane Austen-themed cocktails, tea, pastries, tea sandwiches, crafts, trivia, and more! $10 per person (limited to 24 people per seating). Advanced registration is required. Must be 21+ to attend.

• Creative Writing Workshop: Austen Style - Close My Corset Friday, October 13th from 6 pm-8 pm at the River Bend Bookshop in West Hartford Women have worn corsets for almost 400 years. What does this say about bodies? Exercise creativity with an Austen-Inspired workshop. $10 per participant This is a collaboration between Hartford Stage Company and Playhouse on Park in conjunction with Theater Week.
