Open Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Greater Hartford Welcome Center is designed to serve as an information hub for downtown Hartford, helping connect both locals and tourists to the incredible array of arts, entertainment and sports events that make this region New England's rising star. Every great City offers extraordinary experiences. Hartford is no exception. What makes us so interesting is that we’re more than one destination – we are a region abundant with rich heritage, culture, arts, sports and entertainment, distinctive dining and shopping. - Information about Greater Hartford's arts, heritage, culture, hotels, dining, recreation and shopping destinations
Concierge Desk staffed by Arts Council personnel, offering recommendations tailored to your personal interests Latest Listings of arts and entertainment, show/game times, ticket information - Menus for area restaurants
- Resource Materials developed jointly by Welcome Center partners, including updated downtown map, brochures, flyers, videos and calendar
- Maps and Directions for Downtown Hartford, Connecticut and the Connecticut/Massachusetts River Valley
- Tour Information for walking & driving tours of the city and region
- Newcomer Orientation for new employees, trainees, residents, tourists, convention attendees and spouses, and students, offered to Human Resources departments, realtors, school recruitment officers, convention planners and hotels
- Courtesy Phone for local calls
- Conference Room available for nonprofit conference use
- Arts Exhibits featured in the conference room
- Let*s GO Arts! membership cards for sale at the Welcome Center. The membership offers benefits such as heavy discounts on theater tickets, museums, restaurants, parking garages, entertainment, shopping and parking.
The Greater Hartford Welcome Center is managed by the Greater Hartford Arts Council in collaboration with its civic partners: City of Hartford, Greater Hartford Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the MetroHartford Alliance. The Welcome Center serves as the front door for the Civic Organizations housed at 31-45 Pratt Street.
