Nearly 150 years after his first and only visit to Hartford, Abraham Lincoln returns to the Capital City through a sculpture collection that celebrates his life and legacy.
In 2005, the Lincoln Financial Foundation provided funding to create the Lincoln Financial Sculpture Walk at Riverfront to commemorate Lincoln Financial Group’s centennial anniversary. Organized by the Greater Hartford Arts Council in partnership with Riverfront Recapture, the collection of 15 pieces has been installed along the banks of the Connecticut River in both Hartford and East Hartford to educate, engage and enlighten all those who live in and visit the greater Hartford region.
