Rain or shine, from 5-11 PM on this Aetna First Thursday in June, thousands of fans will enjoy a healthy dose of Blues music with renowned national and regional artists Ryan Hartt & the Blue Hearts, River City Slim & the Zydeco Hogs, Larry Garner Blues Band, Sarah Borges & the Broken Singles and Jeff Pitchell & Texas Flood.

Blues offered by some of the Hottest Acts around!

Ryan Hart & the Blue Hearts (5:00-6:00 PM):
Dubbed “young East Coast masters of the jumpin’ West Coast sound” by Blues Revue magazine, Ryan Hartt & the Blue Hearts are a mainstay of the New England blues scene. Ryan Hartt and Eric Ducoff melded their passions for the classic sounds of 40s, 50s and early 60s blues stylings. The rhythm section of Nick Toscano and Jeff Berg rounds out the quartet. The band received international acclaim with their 2003 Far-Tone Records debut, “Empty Wallet”. The CD received extensive radio airplay and favorable reviews across the United States and Europe.

River City Slim & the Zydeco Hogs (6:15-7:15 PM):
The Hogs bring the exuberant sounds of the steamy bayous of southwestern Louisiana to the hills of New England. The Zydeco Hogs cook up a spicy musical gumbo that combines the traditional sounds of the button accordion and washboard with a driving, syncopated beat. You can’t help but stomp your feet!

Larry Garner Blues Band (7:30-8:30 PM):
Larry Garner is one of the best songwriters in Blues today. This Baton Rouge guitarist brings his swamp blues tradition with current subjects and problems of everyday life to the people all over the world. For a man who came to the blues relatively late in life from a day job and family life in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Larry Garner wasted no time earning a worldwide reputation as one terrific bluesman. Maybe his roundabout, diverse route is a part of why he brings such freshness of vision along with a solid all-around grounding as a musician, poet and storyteller.

Sarah Borges & the Broken Singles (8:45-9:45 PM):
Sarah is from the Boston area and her music is described as "walking that fine line between punk and country".[On the strength of a performance at the South by Southwest Festival, Borges earned a record deal for her first record, 2005's Silver City and earned praise for showcasing her unusual knack for mixing alternative rock with country". Sarah’s songs "balance some fierce guitar licks with heartfelt twang" Her material is grounded in Americana even as it morphs from folk to rock and even soul. It is hard to describe other than simply –great!

Jeff Pitchell & Texas Flood (10:00-11:00 PM):
Jeff Pitchell is an internationally acclaimed, award winning singer, songwriter, guitarist, and an actor who reminds fans of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, BB King etc. but most of all, is a top drawing, best selling artist whose explosive guitar playing and impassioned vocals have drawn rave reviews from fans and critics alike for simply playing music that Jeff himself has written! Jeff has just returned from Europe, where he had an extremely successful trip!! Jeff and Texas Flood are top-notch musicians and singers who unite to bring a high energy mix of Rhythm and Blues, Rock, Soul and funky Texas Blues.
